FAQ's?

What Happens on a walk?

Debbie begins by introducing the practice of forest bathing and the land on which we gather, along with a brief history of the tradition. She then guides you through a series of invitations to tune into your senses and be present in the moment. This practice enhances your awareness and deepens your connection with nature. Debbie concludes the experience with a tea soothing ceremony.

Can I bring my dog?

“While we consider our dogs part of the family, we kindly ask that you leave them at home. This ensures that both you and the other participants can be fully present and enjoy the experience.”

What happens if it is raining?

“Walks will go ahead regardless of rain, so please bring appropriate wet weather clothing. In fact, rain often enhances the experience! However, if there are any safety concerns, eg bushfires or lightening, the walk will be cancelled. In that case I will contact you as soon as possible using the telephone number you provided during the booking process.

Who can participate?

“Forest Bathing is suitable for people of all ages, Though Debbie recommends walks for those aged 14 years and up. A general level of fitness is recommended, as the walks are typically about 1km in length, with some uneven ground. Please note, these walks are not suitable for wheelchair users.”

How do I benefit?

“Research is increasingly showing the healing power of nature, demonstrating its ability to enhance our physical, mental and emotional well-being. Participants also have the opportunity to deepen their connection with themselves and others, whilst gaining a fresh and deeper connection to nature. This experience can be truly transformative and healing.”

Why do I need a guide?

“Whilst anyone can venture into nature alone, walking with a trained guide offers a unique experience. It’s often compared to practising yoga on your own versus with a teacher: the guidance of a teacher brings a deeper, more enriching experience.
