Meet Your Guide

Hi I'm Debbbie your Forest Bathing Guide. I trained in 2023 with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) https://anft.earth they are the global leaders in forest therapy training. I bring to this work not only my passion for nature but over 30 years of experience caring for people as a Registered Nurse (RN). I hold a wilderness first aid certificate to ensure you are in safe hands.

I originally trained as a nurse in the UK, I moved to Australia in 1991. I hold a master’s degree in clinical nursing, Teaching and Assessing, along with a Renal Certificate, and have dedicated most of my career to supporting people living with kidney disease.

My love for the natural world has been lifelong. From camping and bushwalking with my family, to swimming, walking, and cycling today, the outdoors has always been a source of peace, connection, and joy. A long-time practitioner of yoga and meditation. I discovered forest bathing  and feel it is an extension of those practices — “a marriage made in nature,” I feel.

I feel that forest bathing is more than a practice—it’s a philosophy. I believes we are not separate from nature but deeply a part of it. The practice of forest therapy is reciprocal: as we open ourselves to the forest, we feel its quiet, healing presence in return.

“It’s truly fulfilling to witness the deep connections and restorative experiences people have on a forest bathing walk. It’s very humbling.”

I invites you to join me and discover your own connection to the natural world—gently, intentionally, and with an open heart.

It's not just contact with nature...It's the nature of the contact!
